The Holy Grail

I love, love, love being a wife! It has given me purpose, made me more mature, more selfless, and given me the gift of taking care of a man I love and adore. If not for my husband, I would've never had a reason to start cooking... Holy Chef

While I enjoy being a wife, it's not always easy. I've found that if a wife wants to see improvements in her marriage, she's got to make the first move.... but boy is it worth it! Fortunately, I learned this before I became a wife. It all began when a friend introduced me to Fascinating Womanhood by Helen Andelin. This book is a wife's Holy Grail. It has helped me develop a deeper appreciation for my husband by enlightening me on the responsibilities and pressure he faces as the spiritual leader. Not only has it deepened my love for Drew, but also his for me because it has taught me how to be the ideal woman according to a man's perspective. Now, I am nowhere near the ideal woman, but I hate to think who I would be had I not read this book.

Fascinating Womanhood [Book]

I believe this book is a gift for both husbands and wives. Therefore, it is my pleasure to share it with you.  Each chapter includes a new lesson along with an assignment to help you apply that lesson. Come visit me as I discuss a new chapter each week.

If you don't buy the book, I would strongly encourage you to follow me as I go through it, do the assignments, and share your experiences. Whether you are single or married, we all have men in our lives who depend on us for something: love, support, friendship, etc...  This dependence can be overwhelming. Therefore, it is my hope that we can draw strength from each other's shared experiences rather than trying to go it alone.

In Love & Grace,
Alex
